Job Title: Senior Director of Alumni Relations

Stanford University's Graduate School of Business (GSB) is seeking a Senior Director of Alumni Relations to lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that foster a strong and engaged alumni community. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with alumni, identifying opportunities for engagement, and developing programs that promote alumni involvement and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni relations strategy that aligns with the GSB's mission and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with alumni, including identifying and engaging with key stakeholders, and developing programs that promote alumni involvement and support.
  • Collaborate with GSB colleagues, including communications, development, and information systems teams, to ensure alignment and effective execution of alumni relations initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, including allocating resources and tracking expenses.
  • Lead and manage a team of alumni relations professionals, including providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid California Non-commercial Class Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
  • Excellent management skills, including a track record of attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining professional staff.
  • Strong track record as a relationship builder and collaborator.
  • Experience in and responsibility for planning, executing, and evaluating programs designed to reach, serve, and engage university constituencies.
  • Excellent strategic, organizational, and project management skills.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Stanford University, Stanford GSB, and/or alumni relations.
  • Advanced degree.
