Position Overview
Are you ready to elevate your career with a leading logistics firm? At Kühne + Nagel, we are seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager for our Automotive Global Account Program to enhance our Sales division.

Your Role
As a Key Account Manager (KAM), you will oversee the comprehensive commercial customer journey, managing relationships and business development activities for our automotive-focused portfolio within your designated area.

Your Responsibilities
- Directly manage key accounts, aligning with established targets and company protocols, while identifying customer needs and promoting Kühne + Nagel's service offerings.
- Gain insights into the customer's organizational structure and decision-making processes.
- Comprehend the customer's business model and competitive landscape.
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements with clients, ensuring all commercial specifications are accurately documented.
- Attain expert knowledge of Kühne + Nagel's vertical service offerings.
- Adhere to Kühne + Nagel's sales management procedures, ensuring timely updates in our CRM system.
- Monitor monthly performance metrics (pipeline, wins, losses, RFP opportunities, financials) against set objectives, taking immediate corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain an account plan based on the Key Account Planning Process, securing approval from the relevant sales manager.
- Facilitate the seamless transition of new business into operations, ensuring customer expectations and Kühne + Nagel commitments are fulfilled.
- Conduct regular, structured review sessions with assigned clients, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in International Studies, Business, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- At least 5 years of international experience.
- Leadership experience in direct and virtual settings for a minimum of 2 years.
- 5-10 years of experience in Business Unit/Functional Unit Sales.
- 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in consultative selling and negotiations.
- Broad knowledge of supply chain logistics (Air, Sea, Road, CL, IL).
- Proven track record in business development (up-selling and cross-selling).
- Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Competitive mindset, driven to secure opportunities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

The target salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $170,000, accompanied by a competitive total rewards package that includes health benefits, a 401k retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles.
