Are you ready to elevate your career with a leading logistics provider? At Kühne + Nagel, we are seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager for our Automotive Global Account Program to enhance our Sales team.
Your Role
As a Key Account Manager (KAM), you will oversee the comprehensive commercial customer journey, focusing on relationship management and business development for our automotive portfolio within your designated area.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage key accounts directly, aligning with established targets and company protocols, while identifying customer needs and promoting Kühne + Nagel's service offerings.
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer’s organizational structure and decision-making processes.
- Analyze the customer’s business model and competitive landscape.
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements with clients, ensuring all commercial requirements are accurately documented.
- Attain expert knowledge of Kühne + Nagel's vertical service offerings.
- Adhere to Kühne + Nagel's sales management processes, ensuring timely updates in our CRM system.
- Monitor monthly performance metrics against set objectives, taking immediate corrective actions when necessary.
- Develop and maintain an account plan in accordance with the Key Account Planning Process, securing approval from the relevant sales manager.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of new business into operations, ensuring customer expectations and Kühne + Nagel's commitments are fulfilled.
- Conduct regular review sessions with assigned clients to discuss continuous improvement, customer strategy, and operational excellence.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Business, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- At least 5 years of international experience.
- Leadership experience in direct and virtual settings for a minimum of 2 years.
- 5-10 years of experience in sales within the relevant industry.
- Proven consultative selling skills and negotiation expertise.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain logistics, including air, sea, and road transport.
- Demonstrated success in business development, including up-selling and cross-selling strategies.
- Ability to effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as required.
