The Vice President of Marketing and Advertising is accountable for driving revenue and enhancing customer experiences for the company's managed properties through out-of-home media placements, brand activations, events, sponsorships, and national account leasing initiatives.

This role involves close collaboration with media firms, advertising and marketing agencies, and retail brands to secure new business opportunities and maintain existing partnerships, along with other assigned responsibilities.

Reporting to the EVP/Director of Max (JLL's specialty leasing division), the individual in this role will strive to meet company revenue targets while assisting with corporate Max initiatives, including new business proposals, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, and client presentations.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation and Business Development

  • Identify and secure retailers, brand activation opportunities, advertising partnerships, and sponsorships through proactive outreach, networking, and participation in relevant trade shows and conferences.
  • Build new relationships and manage ongoing partnerships with media companies, third-party agencies, brand marketers, and retail partners.
  • Take ownership of maximizing revenue by pursuing new national accounts and expanding current short-term agreements.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of national account objectives for JLL-managed properties and portfolios. Develop tailored client solutions that align with their advertising goals, communicate the advantages of media in commercial real estate settings, and consistently close large-scale advertising, event, sponsorship, or promotional initiatives.
  • Oversee the entire deal process, from prospecting and negotiation to unit design, agreement execution, move-in facilitation, performance verification, and sales reporting.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of consumer needs, merchandising, and market trends.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate leasing teams and local specialty leasing teams to enhance opportunities, ensuring revenue targets are met.
  • Regularly update the prospect and pipeline report.

Financial Performance

  • Achieve annual financial objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial data.
  • Assist in the development, assessment, and precise submission of budgets, national account productivity, and forecasts.
  • Monitor and manage national accounts' accounts receivable to ensure adherence to A/R Policies & Procedures.
  • Track proof of performance and/or sales results of national accounts.
  • Review and confirm timely commission billings for accuracy.

Management and Operations

  • Collaborate with Property Management teams to effectively achieve new business objectives and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate effective internal communication regarding National Account activities, milestones, and resources, utilizing platforms such as SharePoint and OneDrive.

Client Relationships

  • Develop and implement customized client service strategies for each assigned client.
  • Successfully meet revenue targets established by designated clients.
  • Foster strong relationships to position JLL as the preferred partner.

Additional Responsibilities / Special Projects

  • Manage all daily aspects of national advertising/media and ancillary revenue initiatives.
  • Coordinate with property managers to facilitate multi-center, new business opportunities, and specialty media and digital media campaigns.
  • Support new business requests for National Accounts, including providing information for proposals and client meetings.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Real Estate is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar capacity.
  • Candidates with agency and commercial real estate backgrounds are highly preferred.
  • A Real Estate License must be obtained shortly after employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20-30%.

Compensation

The estimated total compensation range for this position is: 120,000.00 – 145,000.00 USD per year. This range includes total compensation, including bonuses, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed, as employment offers are based on education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and market data alignment.
