Job Summary
The Clerical Assistant will provide administrative support to our community housing team, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and the delivery of high-quality services to our residents. This role will involve a range of tasks, including maintaining resident relations, program integrity, and regulatory compliance, as well as providing clerical assistance and administrative support to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident information, including demographic data, program participation, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide administrative support to the community housing team, including preparing and distributing notices and bulletins to residents, and assisting with the creation and implementation of community programs and events.
- Assist with the processing of resident applications, including reviewing and verifying information, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform a range of clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping, to ensure the efficient operation of our office.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and external partners, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of community programs and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the community housing team.
Requirements
- Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification, or actively pursuing certification.
- One to three years' experience in clerical office work, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
