Position Overview

This role is essential in delivering clerical support and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold strong relationships with applicants and residents while ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations and Community Housing standards.
  • Collaborate to maintain efficient building upkeep and office functions through prudent inventory management.
  • Treat all applicants and residents with the highest level of respect, maintaining confidentiality regarding HUD and Community Housing screening processes.
  • Strive for excellence in service delivery while interacting with applicants, residents, vendors, staff, and community agencies.
  • Assist in crafting and disseminating notices and monthly bulletins to keep residents informed about community activities and services.
  • Facilitate monthly gatherings to enhance tenant and landlord relations.
  • Support the interviewing and processing of applicants, including managing necessary HUD documentation.
  • Prepare monthly invoices for payment and oversee the inventory of office supplies.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of resident files and sensitive information.
  • Aid in organizing resident and apartment files, as well as planning community events to strengthen social ties.
  • Collect payments and ensure accurate financial transactions, including bank deposits in line with established policies.
  • Manage incoming calls and welcome visitors to the community.
  • Respond to community emergencies as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate Profile: This role requires a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification, which must be obtained within 15 months of employment, or the candidate must be actively pursuing this certification. A background of one to three years in clerical or related fields is preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Compensation: $18.50 per hour, depending on experience
