This recruitment is for two distinct positions: one will serve the entire state, including the metropolitan area, while the other will focus on specific counties.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the case services budget.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to develop and prepare an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) in compliance with relevant laws and policies.
  • Collaborate with clients to implement and complete an IPE that leads to successful employment outcomes.
  • Provide tailored placement services to help clients achieve their vocational rehabilitation goals.
  • Support the mission of the Workforce Development Unit through various initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Senior Rehabilitation Counselor:

Master's degree in a relevant field such as Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related disciplines.

Career Rehabilitation Counselor:

Master's degree in a relevant field and three years of experience in counseling, caseload management, and job placement services.

Applicants will be evaluated based on their ability to build cooperative relationships and their experience working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with individuals who are blind or visually impaired, proficiency in a second language, and the ability to interpret complex information clearly.

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidates will undergo a criminal background check and may need to complete an Adjustment to Blindness immersion training program.
