Job Overview

Position Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced International Benefits Specialist to enhance our HR operations. The successful candidate will possess significant expertise in the management and administration of employee benefits across various countries. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that our international workforce is provided with competitive and compliant benefits packages.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. International Benefits Management:
    • Oversee and administer global employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and additional benefits.
    • Collaborate with local and international vendors to ensure efficient delivery of benefits services.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to local, national, and international benefits regulations and employment laws.
    • Stay updated on changes in global benefits legislation and modify programs accordingly.
  3. Benefits Strategy Development:
    • Design and implement international benefits strategies that align with the organization’s objectives and employee requirements.
    • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to maintain competitive and appealing benefits packages.
  4. Employee Assistance:
    • Act as a resource for employees regarding inquiries and issues related to international benefits.
    • Provide support and guidance on benefits enrollment, claims, and resolutions.
  5. Data Evaluation and Reporting:
    • Examine benefits data to assess the effectiveness and usage of international benefits programs.
    • Generate reports and presentations for senior leadership on benefits trends and recommendations.
  6. Vendor Relations:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with benefits providers and brokers.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage service level agreements to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  7. Training and Communication:
    • Create and implement training programs to inform employees and HR teams about international benefits.
    • Develop and disseminate clear communication materials regarding benefits updates and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CEBS, GBA) are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits, particularly in international programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of global benefits regulations and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management and benefits program design.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cultures and time zones.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and benefits management software.
