Wells Fargo is looking for a Lead Credit Risk Analyst to join our Collections Risk Strategy / Unsecured Default Servicing Risk team, which is part of the Consumer Lending Chief Risk Office (CRO).

• Spearhead strategic projects, collaborating across a vast organization while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

• Formulate and execute collection strategies to ensure prompt recovery of overdue accounts.

• Monitor and assess portfolio performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership regarding collections activities and performance metrics.

• Ensure compliance of the collections process with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Work alongside other departments, such as credit and customer service, to enhance the overall customer experience and resolve disputes.

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and external debt collection agencies, to improve collections outcomes.

• Continuously seek and implement process enhancements to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections operation.

• Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers involved in initiatives that span multiple business lines with significant impact and risk.

• Identify and propose opportunities for process improvements and risk control development to strengthen the company's credit culture and business performance.

• Determine suitable strategies and actions for the Credit Risk team to address moderate to high-risk deliverables.

• Interact with both internal and external customers effectively.

Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Credit Risk or equivalent experience through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong academic background with an M.B.A. or master's degree is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of various risk types, including compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, and IT systems security.

• Exceptional quantitative and analytical thinking skills.

• Innovative problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines.

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Job Expectations:
This role offers a hybrid work schedule.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
