Origin Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in evaluating creditworthiness of potential borrowers and managing existing loan portfolios.

As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis, assessing risk, and preparing comprehensive credit reports. Your expertise will contribute to the Bank's ability to make sound lending decisions and support the financial well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documentation to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
  • Prepare detailed credit reports outlining your findings and recommendations.
  • Evaluate loan applications and determine appropriate terms and conditions.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify potential risks.
  • Collaborate with lending officers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth loan processing.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need a strong foundation in financial analysis and credit risk assessment.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, with a focus on Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Five to eight years of experience in credit analysis within the banking industry.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools is essential.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Moody's, internet research, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, ADP, and other programs used for statistical and financial calculations.
Customer Service and Communication:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting effectively with colleagues, clients, and supervisors.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands:

The Credit Analyst role typically involves sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and engaging in phone conversations.

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects.
  • Occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
