Position Overview
The role involves the creation and enhancement of statistically based models and assumptions for capital and liquidity stress assessments, as well as loan behavior predictions such as prepayments and defaults. This position will oversee, assess, and refine Credit Risk models, particularly those sourced from third parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, implement, calibrate, evaluate, and oversee the Bank's third-party Credit Risk models (including Moody's RiskCalc, CMM, Portfolio Analyzer models, etc.).
- Develop and manage an Economic Capital model for use within the Treasury and Profitability divisions.
- Create models to forecast loan behavior assumptions utilized by Credit Risk and Treasury (e.g., prepayments, renewals, defaults, utilization, construction funding, etc.).
- Lead and enhance the Capital Stress Testing program.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of necessary compliance training.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting procedural manuals, business correspondence, and government regulations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
- Skilled in writing routine reports, procedures, and business correspondence.
- Capable of responding in writing to customer inquiries and regulatory agencies.
- Effective in presenting information in both one-on-one and small group settings.
- Able to communicate effectively before larger groups, including customers and management.
- Master's degree; advanced education in economic modeling, financial modeling, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience in loan portfolio/credit risk modeling, ideally within a financial institution.
- Familiarity with Moody's suite of credit risk models.
- Experience in liquidity and capital stress testing models.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Experience coding and modeling in Python or R.
- Knowledge of SQL coding.
