Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting a federal client by coordinating contracting activities and developing essential acquisition documents for various services and IT products. While prior experience in federal contracting is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

This position requires close collaboration with the project manager to ensure effective project delivery, formulate acquisition strategies, and create documentation necessary for procurement planning. The Senior Procurement Specialist will also assist in identifying opportunities to enhance customer service within the client’s organization and across the broader enterprise. Responsibilities include drafting acquisition-related documents, preparing communication materials, managing stakeholder outreach, and conducting research to inform decision-making.

The role involves significant project management support and participation as a key member of a subcontracting team. Responsibilities include the creation and coordination of acquisition documents such as Requests for Information (RFIs), Acquisition Plans (APs), and Statements of Work (SOWs). The Senior Procurement Specialist will engage with customer offices to gather information on IT product requirements and facilitate data collection efforts.

In addition to customer interactions, the Senior Procurement Specialist may liaise with original equipment manufacturers and other contractor teams. Attendance at meetings to document discussions regarding pricing and contract terms is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree; OR four (4) years of relevant experience in Acquisitions, Contracting, or Procurement may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Acquisitions, Contracting, or Procurement.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating team efforts.
  • Experience in developing FAR-compliant acquisition packages for government programs.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to collaborate within diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 and various web-based applications.
  • Familiarity with the State Department's organizational structure or prior experience with State Department projects.
  • Understanding of public budgeting and experience in federal budgeting activities.
  • Knowledge of IT products and professional services.
  • Familiarity with key documents in federal acquisition processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and customer service.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with strict deadlines and coordinate among various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,000. Compensation decisions are influenced by various factors, including skills, experience, security clearances, and organizational needs.
