Job Description

Position Overview:

The Senior Procurement Specialist will provide leadership and guidance to the Acquisition Policy Division Director in support of Enterprise Services – Acquisition (ES-A) day-to-day operations. This role will assist in providing qualified and experienced supervision to personnel, ensuring the successful execution of task areas including innovation, quality, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies to meet business needs

  • Manage and improve procurement processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness

  • Provide expertise on acquisition policy and regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

  • Support the development and implementation of knowledge management systems

  • Assist in the management of the acquisition workforce, including training and development

  • Provide support for performance planning and metrics

  • Ensure compliance with acquisition quality assurance and quality control requirements

  • Support audit liaison and tracking activities

  • Manage purchase card programs and ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in federal acquisition policy support, with a minimum of 3 years at a senior or director level

  • Active or previously held FAC-C Level III Certification

  • Active or previous Federal Contracting Officer preferred

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred, Black Belt desired

  • SSGI Certified Agile Professional (SSGI – CAP) preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), CAR, Freedom of Information Act, and other regulatory and policy supplements
