Role Overview:

The Construction Field Specialist (CFS) operates under the direction of the Project Superintendent and is anticipated to demonstrate sound judgment and discretion in providing recommendations, executing policies and procedures, and managing a diverse array of tasks in the field.

The primary objective of this role is to actively support the Superintendent in on-site management.

This position demands significant effort, accountability, tenacity, analytical skills, and a positive demeanor, as the CFS is accountable for the majority of the project layout, oversight of trade personnel and subcontractors, as well as responsibilities related to lift drawings, safety, and quality assurance.

While a substantial portion of a Construction Field Specialist's duties will occur on-site, certain responsibilities will necessitate engagement in the field office.

This role is classified as safety-sensitive.

Qualifications Required:
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
A valid Driver's License.
Proficiency in computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internships within the construction sector are advantageous, though not mandatory.
Experience in project layout (surveying) in alignment with design and contractual specifications.
Verification of concrete forms for precision and adequacy of construction, including all embedded components, prior to concrete placement.

Conduct production trend analysis for quantities of work completed and report for weekly and monthly scheduling and cost control assessments.

Assist with quality assurance, site safety initiatives, and coordination of trade partners as assigned by the project superintendent.
Oversee material deliveries by confirming material needs in advance and comparing with delivery timelines.
Support foremen and trade partners with the interpretation of plans and specifications.
Supervise trade partners and direct workforces to gain supervisory experience.
Engage in jobsite safety meetings and weekly safety evaluations.
Collaborate with the VDC team on VDC scope of work, execution plans, and deliverables related to field operations.
