Role Summary: This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level HVAC / MEP Outside Sales Consultant / Lead Generator with design expertise to excel and develop professionally. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and professional growth, ensuring you feel supported from your first day onward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business and provide client services within the Mechanical Contractors and Engineers sector, focusing on MEP / HVAC projects. Manage your territory by selling refrigeration and HVAC services, utilizing both warm leads and some cold lead generation.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents on MEP projects to ensure seamless execution.
  • Establish project parameters and create designs that align with client specifications. Utilize software to prepare proposals or bids that meet technical requirements while minimizing cost overruns.
  • Work closely with clients to provide accurate estimates for HVAC system projects.
  • Follow up on leads and referrals from existing clients while also seeking new business opportunities.
  • Possess knowledge of equipment such as boilers and chillers, with a focus on system design and building automation systems.
  • Oversee the execution of your team's projects, ensuring all equipment is managed effectively from shipment to project completion.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of energy and cost-saving strategies for HVAC / MEP commercial equipment and service agreements, effectively communicating these to clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities based on in-depth customer knowledge.
  • Manage budget quotes and service agreements to support sales objectives.
  • Determine pricing solutions and sales strategies, ensuring compliance with vendor partners and company standards.
  • Collaborate closely with both Marketing and Sales Representatives, acting as an internal advocate for client services and a subject matter expert.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on account activities and annual forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP / HVAC sales, with a proven track record in the commercial HVAC sector.
  • Established book of business with HVAC / MEP clients.
  • Knowledge of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, air handlers, building automation systems, and controls; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in B2B sales, with a strong understanding of systems, equipment, and components.
  • Positive attitude, excellent technical knowledge, and strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving energy service environment.
  • Professional demeanor, with respect and tact towards clients and team members.
  • Strong commitment to follow-through and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and develop tools for ongoing efficiency and productivity.
