Role Summary: This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level HVAC / MEP Outside Sales Representative / Lead Generator with design expertise to excel and grow. Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business and manage client relationships within Mechanical Contractors and Engineers for MEP / HVAC projects, focusing on both warm leads and some cold lead generation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents on MEP projects.
- Establish project parameters and create designs that align with client specifications, utilizing software to develop proposals that meet technical requirements while minimizing cost overruns.
- Provide clients with estimates for HVAC system projects, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Follow up on leads and referrals from existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Possess knowledge of equipment such as Boilers and Chillers, with a focus on system design and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Oversee project execution, ensuring all equipment is managed from shipment to project completion.
- Demonstrate expertise in energy and cost-saving strategies for HVAC / MEP commercial equipment and service agreements, effectively communicating these to clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
- Assess and target opportunities based on thorough customer insights.
- Manage budgeting quotes and service agreements to support sales initiatives.
- Determine pricing solutions and sales strategies, ensuring compliance with vendor and company standards.
- Work closely with both Marketing and Product Sales Representatives, acting as an internal advocate for client services and a subject matter expert.
- Provide comprehensive account activity reports and annual forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP / HVAC sales, with a proven track record in the commercial HVAC sector.
- A portfolio of business relationships with HVAC / MEP clients.
- Knowledge of Chillers, Boilers, Rooftop Units (RTUs), Air Handlers, BAS, and Controls; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience in B2B sales with a strong understanding of systems, equipment, and components.
- Excellent attitude, technical knowledge, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Desire to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving energy service environment.
- Professional demeanor, respectful communication with clients and team members, and accountability for actions.
- Strong follow-through on commitments and effective time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and develop tools for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
