Position Summary: This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned sales professional specializing in HVAC systems to excel in an outside sales role. Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business and maintain client relationships within the mechanical contracting and engineering sectors, focusing on MEP/HVAC projects. Manage your territory while selling refrigeration and HVAC services, utilizing both warm leads and some cold outreach.
  • Collaborate with project managers and superintendents on MEP projects to ensure seamless execution.
  • Establish project parameters and create designs that align with client specifications. Utilize software tools to develop proposals or bids that meet technical requirements while minimizing cost overruns.
  • Provide clients with accurate estimates for HVAC system projects, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
  • Follow up on leads and referrals from existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
  • Possess a solid understanding of MEP/HVAC equipment, including boilers and chillers valued up to $500K, as well as system design and building automation systems (BAS).
  • Oversee the execution of your team's projects, ensuring all equipment is managed effectively from shipment to project completion.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of energy-efficient and cost-saving strategies for commercial HVAC and lighting systems to clients.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities based on in-depth customer insights.
  • Manage budget quotes and service agreements to support sales initiatives.
  • Determine pricing strategies and review contract terms in accordance with company standards and vendor partnerships.
  • Work closely with both marketing and project support representatives, acting as an internal advocate for client services and a subject matter expert.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on account activities and annual forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP/HVAC sales, with a proven track record in the commercial HVAC sector, capable of presenting value propositions to key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, air handlers, building automation systems, and controls, along with a relevant bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in B2B sales, with a strong understanding of systems, equipment, and components, and the ability to conduct building surveys.
