The Senior Sales Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in the business development leadership team, tasked with driving branded growth initiatives. This role demands a team-oriented leader equipped with exceptional problem-solving abilities, outstanding communication skills, and a strong drive for success. The ideal candidate will possess a background in Fuel Marketing or experience with fuel wholesalers/refiners, alongside a solid understanding of scheduling, pricing, supply/trading, and sales analytics.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory; MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fuel wholesaler/refiner environment.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following domains: scheduling, fuel pricing, supply chain, trading, sales, and analytics.
  • At least 10 years of experience encompassing strategy, operations, and project management.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role managing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy formulation and execution, data analysis, project oversight, vendor management, and process enhancement.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the capability to manage multiple projects while leading a small team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and direct strategies aimed at accelerating growth within the branded wholesale sector, which includes evaluating new product offerings, identifying geographical expansion opportunities, and developing strategies for preferred partnerships.
  • Identify priority regions and brands where competitive advantages exist and align the business development team to execute the strategy effectively.
  • Oversee contract compliance analysis and provide recommendations for market strategies focused on enhancing EBITDA.
  • Collaborate closely with business development, account management, sales operations, transportation, legal, procurement, and marketing teams to drive process improvements and strategies for EBITDA growth.
  • Establish and implement KPIs, reporting mechanisms, dashboards, and analyses for the business development team to foster actionable insights and enhance visibility into team performance.
  • Manage branding and imaging efforts to ensure effective project allocation and tracking within Salesforce, set KPIs, eliminate obstacles, and oversee team performance.
  • Work in partnership with the procurement team and key vendors to ensure compliance with KPIs related to imaging sites, optimizing the branding and imaging process to expedite the onboarding of new partner sites.
  • Oversee monthly capital forecasting activities for the business development team.
  • Lead the implementation and rollout of pilot programs at retail locations while maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and managing the distribution of annual rebates.
