Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Customer Sales to spearhead our Learning product specialization team. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Customer Sales, you will oversee a team of Customer Account Executives (CAEs) and drive the growth of our Learning Tech product sales in North America.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify opportunities to enhance customer value and support the sales leadership team in achieving growth objectives.
  2. Manage and expand Learning Pool's revenue within our Eastern customer segments.
  3. Lead the North American CAE team to optimize the customer journey and achieve growth targets.
  4. Implement the Learning Pool go-to-market strategy in North America in collaboration with the Sales Leadership team.
  5. Assist your team in complex negotiations and closing cross-sell opportunities.
  6. Take ownership of your team's performance targets and drive the growth strategy for the Learning product sector.
  7. Evaluate sales and renewal management activities, working with leadership to implement necessary improvements.
  8. Oversee the North America learning business portfolio and engage with strategic customer accounts.
  9. Develop key performance metrics to ensure accountability and successful delivery.
  10. Collaborate with various Learning Pool functions to provide a seamless client experience, demonstrating clear ROI for customers.
  11. Provide market insights to the product management team to keep our solutions at the forefront of the e-learning industry.
  12. Ensure the CAE team leverages customer usage data to drive growth and renewals.
  13. Develop and implement upgrade and renewal strategies with the global customer sales management team.
  14. Maintain compliance with internal data management and reporting standards.
  15. Recruit and nurture talent committed to continuous improvement and high performance.
  16. Foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with the company's vision and values.
  17. Contribute to a customer-first strategy, acting as an advocate for both the business and its clients.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A proven history of success in sales management or as a senior contributor in a SaaS environment, particularly in B2B sales with a recurring revenue model.
  2. Experience in managing or mentoring revenue-focused teams through various sales cycles.
  3. Expertise in sales methodologies such as Challenger Sale and MEDDPICC.
  4. Proficiency with sales-related technologies, including CRM systems and SaaS metrics.
  5. A service-oriented mindset, capable of supporting the team with major customer accounts.
  6. A data-driven approach to decision-making and goal-setting.
  7. Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  8. Empathetic leadership skills to drive change and manage ambiguity effectively.
  9. Strong relationship-building capabilities with internal teams essential to our mission.
  10. Critical thinking skills to address customer escalations and find effective solutions.
  11. Commercial insight to accurately forecast and track progress within the compliance and learning technology markets.
