Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Customer Sales to spearhead our Learning product specialization team. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Customer Sales, you will lead a team of Customer Account Executives (CAEs) to drive growth and success in the Learning Tech sales sector.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify opportunities to enhance customer value and growth, collaborating with the sales leadership team to implement strategies.
  2. Manage and expand Learning Pool revenue within our Eastern customer segments.
  3. Lead the North American CAE team, ensuring alignment with customer journey and growth objectives.
  4. Execute the Learning Pool go-to-market strategy in North America as part of the Sales Leadership team.
  5. Assist your team in complex negotiations and the closing of cross-sell opportunities.
  6. Take ownership of your team's targets and drive the growth strategy for the Learning product sector.
  7. Evaluate your team's sales and renewal management activities, providing insights to achieve sales goals.
  8. Oversee the North America learning book of business, engaging with strategic customer accounts.
  9. Develop key performance metrics to ensure accountability and successful delivery.
  10. Collaborate with various Learning Pool functions to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  11. Provide market insights to the product management team to keep our solutions at the forefront of the industry.
  12. Ensure the CAE team utilizes customer data to facilitate growth and renewal generation.
  13. Implement upgrade and renewal processes in conjunction with the global customer sales management team.
  14. Maintain compliance with internal data management and reporting standards.
  15. Recruit and develop talent committed to continuous improvement and high performance.
  16. Foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with the company's vision and values.
  17. Contribute to a customer-first strategy, advocating for both the business and its clients.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A proven track record in sales management or senior individual contributor roles within a SaaS sales organization.
  2. Experience managing revenue-focused teams through various sales cycles.
  3. Expertise in leveraging sales methodologies to enhance team performance.
  4. Proficiency with sales-related technology and tools, including CRM systems.
  5. A service-oriented mindset, capable of supporting teams with major clients.
  6. A data-driven approach to decision-making and goal-setting.
  7. Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  8. Empathetic leadership skills to drive change and manage teams effectively.
  9. Strong collaboration skills to build productive relationships across teams.
  10. Critical thinking abilities to resolve customer escalations effectively.
  11. Commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the compliance and learning technology markets.
