POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the regional President, the Head of Sales and Operations Strategy is a pivotal leadership position responsible for steering the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Sales and Operations Planning process within the organization. This role will guide the strategic direction for the region and collaborate with cross-functional partners to establish actionable benchmarks aimed at achieving corporate objectives. The Head will engage with all cross-functional teams to identify risks and opportunities related to these benchmarks and work with leadership to devise effective solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Motivate and challenge all stakeholders to drive business outcomes
  • Track sales and operational benchmark discrepancies, taking necessary actions to address gaps and seize opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and others to develop tools, processes, and analytics that enhance the S&OP process
  • Facilitate S&OP meetings across all business levels to ensure strategic alignment and transparency regarding risks and opportunities
  • Create a comprehensive playbook for S&OP to achieve exemplary results
  • Partner with the commercial team to align demand with operational constraints, focusing on strategies to grow the business
  • Work alongside Cultivation and Operational teams to formulate operational plans that meet commercial expectations and maintain reasonable safety stocks
  • Establish item-level inventory targets for facility Master Schedulers to follow, maintaining regular communication to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Utilize the S&OP process to enhance and support the budget-setting process
  • Oversee inventory planning, optimizing cultivation, production, and commercial planning to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing the risk of obsolescence
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure alignment with the consensus strategy

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, Agriculture, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales and operations planning within a manufacturing context, including production planning, scheduling, replenishment planning, demand planning, and materials management
  • Proficient in supply planning software, both operationally and conceptually, with the ability to enhance internal tools
  • Strong analytical capabilities with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting data metrics and financial information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines
