Position Title: Program Manager

Location: Mountain View, CA

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday during standard business hours for Pacific Time. Hybrid work model with onsite presence required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Project Overview:

As a Program Manager within the Shopping organization, you will play a pivotal role in executing collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing experiences and features for both Shoppers and Merchants. You will oversee projects throughout their entire lifecycle, which includes managing timelines, identifying potential risks, and effectively communicating objectives to all stakeholders involved. Close collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, UX, and Analysts within the Shopping teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be accountable for comprehensive planning, execution, and oversight of projects and processes, as well as driving continuous improvements across various domains. Additionally, you will provide ad-hoc advisory support and guidance to stakeholders regarding best practices in project execution.

Primary Daily Duties:

  • Organize and oversee the activities necessary to achieve project outcomes, determining what needs to be done, by whom, when, and how. Adjust project parameters (e.g., timelines, staffing, features) to ensure timely delivery of results.
  • Track and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. Collaborate closely with partner teams to manage program adjustments. Align stakeholders on decisions and evolving circumstances. Proactively manage dependencies and deliverables with related projects, teams, and functions.
  • Implement project management tools and processes to enhance development speed, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement through performance measurement, progress tracking, and success metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 4-5 years of relevant experience as a Program Manager, with proficiency in planning and the ability to identify stakeholders to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives, estimate task durations, and ensure alignment of schedules and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with various methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to optimize team effectiveness.
  • Expertise in execution and governance, with the ability to organize and manage project activities and adjust parameters to achieve timely results.
  • Strong skills in monitoring and communicating progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated communication abilities, with the capacity to listen effectively to stakeholders and convey program goals, progress, and health in a manner tailored to their interests and concerns.
  • Understanding of the software product lifecycle and program structuring through phases such as Ideation, Design, Development, Testing, Experimentation, and Rollout.

Compensation: The hourly pay rate for this position is $56, which may vary based on factors such as client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, and commuter benefits.
