We have initiated our journey by rethinking the capabilities of autonomous floor cleaning robots through the use of AI and computer vision with our flagship product. Our vision extends to automating various household tasks, providing realistic, affordable, and privacy-conscious robots to our users, while progressively advancing towards more sophisticated functions and features over time.

About the Role:

As the inaugural Program Management Lead at Matic, you will play a crucial role in the launch of our first consumer robot. Collaborating closely with leaders in perception, software, and hardware engineering, you will develop a detailed launch strategy that emphasizes alignment in prioritization, timelines, and budget management.

Reporting directly to the co-founder, you will actively shape the Program Management function in real-time, consistently propelling strategic, cross-functional initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of launching consumer hardware products and demonstrate experience or interest in working with computer vision, perception, or AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional efforts (product, design, hardware, and software) to establish a product launch roadmap and long-term schedule.
  • Create and oversee comprehensive project plans to ensure timely delivery, daily coordination, and quality assurance for an innovative consumer product.
  • Identify potential dependencies and devise mitigation strategies, adjusting product timelines as necessary.
  • Promote company-wide transparency regarding planning, development status, risks, and more.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels across all cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, product, operations, etc.).
  • Design robust internal and external testing modules to facilitate product testing at every development stage.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and disseminate feedback to drive product and process enhancements.
  • Implement metrics to monitor development and assess impact for scalable process improvements.
  • Ensure full accuracy of product BOM and facilitate communication of changes between design, supply chain, and material planning.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Technical Program Management role or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering hardware products within an industry context (preferably consumer electronics).
  • Experience in managing tech programs/products from conception to delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale cross-functional initiatives while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Capacity to drive decisions and align cross-functional teams with differing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Adept at articulating technical requirements and challenges faced by product teams.
  • Experience in producing test reports, data analyses, and product briefs for company leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to excel under pressure and navigate ambiguous situations swiftly.
