Your daily tasks will involve aligning initiatives with corporate objectives, creating comprehensive work plans, leading teams, reaching key milestones, and effectively communicating outcomes to stakeholders. The Project Manager is responsible for resource planning and allocation, budget preparation, progress monitoring, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. All of this occurs within the framework of achieving the organization's goals and vision. Responsibilities may vary from project to project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely delivery of all projects within the defined scope and budget.
- Lead the initiation and planning phases of projects while ensuring technical feasibility.
- Guarantee resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track project progress.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless project execution.
- Manage relationships between clients and stakeholders.
- Utilize appropriate project management tools to measure performance.
- Conduct risk management analysis to mitigate project risks.
- Report and escalate issues to upper management as necessary.
- Create and maintain thorough project documentation.
The Project Manager should be knowledgeable about specific requirements and processes relevant to the organization, including but not limited to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Additionally, the Project Manager should assist in developing Building Information Models (BIM) for facilities, become familiar with layouts and floor plans, and provide technical support on smaller projects that do not require full-time management oversight. The ideal candidate should offer on-site supervision for subcontractors and keep management updated on project status. Mentoring less experienced Project Managers or Engineers in the aforementioned areas is also expected.
Essential Functions:
Physical Requirements:
Visual and physical interaction with test system hardware and installed test articles. Multiple workstation assignments may include office, test facility, control room, laboratory, and workshops. Ability to transport notebooks, drawings, and forms is required. Must be able to hear normal conversations and have at least one eye correctable to 20/20. Ability to distinguish multiple colors on basic panel displays is necessary.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted in an office, control room, and various test facility buildings. Respiratory protection may be required in confined spaces, and some areas may have high noise levels.
Equipment Involved:
Office and control room equipment includes computers, calculators, electronic instruments, mechanical instruments, and various precision measuring devices.
Attendance Requirements:
Work assignments typically occur during standard hours, but overtime may be necessary to support meetings, testing schedules, and operations. Testing may occur at any time based on scheduling and requirements. Regular attendance is essential for team effectiveness.
Other Essential Functions:
Provide technical supervision to assigned project personnel and assist management with administrative tasks. Must be able to obtain necessary security clearances as required.

The salary range for this position is competitive and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across various locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Qualifications:
The Project Manager typically holds a Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Certification as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the Project Manager will interact with management and various stakeholders. A general understanding of aerospace testing and facility operations is beneficial. Familiarity with specific equipment types is also desirable.
