The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team as the first TPM at Matic. As a key member of our launch team, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of our consumer robot launch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Manage Launch Roadmap: Collaborate with perception, software, and hardware engineering leadership to create a comprehensive launch roadmap, aligning prioritization, timelines, and budget.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Efforts: Lead cross-functional teams (product, design, HW, and SW) to define product launch roadmap and long-term timeline.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery, day-to-day coordination, and quality assurance for a novel consumer product.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify potential dependencies and implement mitigation strategies, adjusting product timelines as needed.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Champion company-wide visibility into planning, development status, risks, etc. Build and maintain effective communication channels across all cross-functional teams.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Design robust internal and external-facing testing modules to drive product testing at every stage of development.
  • Feedback and Process Improvement: Consolidate, analyze, and socialize feedback to drive product/process improvements.
  • Metrics and Process Optimization: Implement metrics to track development and measure impact for process improvement at scale.
  • Product BOM Accuracy and Communication: Own full product BOM accuracy & communication of changes between design, supply chain, and material planning.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience: In a TPM role or equivalent, with a proven track record of shipping hardware product(s) in an industry environment (preferably consumer electronics).
  • Delivering Tech Programs/Products: Experience in delivering tech programs/products from inception to delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience in driving large-scale cross-functional efforts, while simultaneously managing multiple priorities.
  • Decision-Making and Alignment: Ability to drive decisions and alignment across cross-functional teams with opposing priorities.
  • Communication and Articulation: Strong verbal and written communication skills; with an ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Technical Requirements and Roadblocks: Ability to clearly articulate technical requirements and roadblocks faced by product teams.
  • Test Reports and Data Analysis: Experience in creating test reports, data analyses, and product briefs for company leadership.
  • Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pressure Management and Ambiguity Navigating: Ability to thrive under pressure and swiftly navigate ambiguous situations.
