Aurora Innovation is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our Driver Performance team. As a key member of our Autonomy team, you will be responsible for developing core technologies that enable our self-driving system to navigate complex environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Perception leads and engineers to develop requirements and roadmaps for future needs, collaborating with adjacent teams to drive innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with autonomy software and hardware teams, policy leads, operations, and triage specialists to ensure the Perception team's work aligns with broader organizational development.
  • Assess software system requirements, facilitate selection of the best options, and coordinate the team to successfully evolve tools and operational processes.
  • Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders.
  • Manage complex projects at a large scale, spanning multiple functional teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Instill an efficient project management mindset and workflow across the team, serving as a go-to resource for project management mentorship.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, or Engineering Manager, or Engineer in an autonomous systems, robotics, data science, machine learning, computer vision, or software development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related area, or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Strong familiarity with machine learning models, robotics, or computer vision systems and their architecture.
  • Direct, measurable impact through the design, development, and launch of groundbreaking products or delivery of significant and novel technology programs.
  • Solid technical aptitude and ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges, and risks.
  • Strong experience in project management, with practical familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience translating Product Requirements to Program Executable Deliverables.
  • Hardware and Software cross-functional program management.
  • Experience working with Dashboard teams to set and track metrics impacting product requirements.
  • Experience setting metrics to track Program and Workflow risks.
  • Prior Experience with Weather Capabilities or Testing with AV or similar technologies.
  • Advanced level experience with JIRA, Holistic, or other analytics dashboards such as Power Bi.
