Position Overview: Lead Electrical Systems Engineer

Compunnel Inc. is on the lookout for a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to enhance our Combat Mission Systems division, concentrating on ground combat vehicle technology. The successful candidate will engage with electronic component manufacturers to facilitate the production of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and circuit card assemblies (CCAs), along with system Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) enclosures tailored for our advanced combat vehicle solutions. This role demands a solid background in the design and manufacturing of PCBAs and CCAs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high standards of production quality and address any supplier-related quality challenges.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement within the engineering processes.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to articulate requirements and share findings.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and relevant industry software.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in design for the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Familiarity with MIL-PRF-31032 and MIL-PRF-55110 standards.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
  • Experience in EMI/EMC design principles.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and ASME Y14.5 specifications.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a relevant engineering field.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-600 and IPC J-STD-001 standards.
  • Experience in conducting failure analysis.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in PCBA and CCA design.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Experience in electrical power distribution and servo amplifier design.

Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.

Preferred Certifications:

IPC-A-600 Certification is advantageous.
