We are currently on the lookout for a full-time addition to our team for the role of: Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will leverage their knowledge in Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force (AF), and engineering principles to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of current and future AF and joint service weapon systems. Responsibilities will include applying MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Certification Criteria, supporting System Integrity Programs, converting user needs into system specifications, and aiding in various engineering and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize DoD, AF, and engineering methodologies to enhance weapon system performance and sustainability.
  • Support airworthiness certification and System Integrity Programs.
  • Translate user needs into weapon system specifications.
  • Assist in formulating action plans and policies for weapon system capabilities.
  • Conduct technical and mission analyses for operational requirements and system concepts.
  • Provide rapid response engineering services for critical supportability challenges.
  • Oversee system safety engineering program activities and evaluations.
  • Support material solution analyses and documentation production.
  • Engage in product reviews, technical evaluations, and acquisition strategies.
  • Assist in analyzing and testing equipment and software deficiencies.
  • Evaluate subcontractor recommendations for operational and support challenges.
  • Participate in program milestone approvals and source selections.
  • Support disciplined engineering practices to ensure OSS&E for all products.
  • Contribute to the development and assessment of engineering cost estimates.
  • Facilitate value stream mapping activities and AFSO21 program initiatives.
  • Provide support for configuration, data, and risk management processes.
  • Apply electrical engineering knowledge to power systems and avionics subsystems.
  • Support CNS/ATM requirements, testing, and certification efforts.
  • Assist in avionics integration engineering and relevant documentation updates.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Possess an ABET-accredited BS/MS degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Education- Advanced Degree (MA/MS) with 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD, OR BA/BS degree with 15 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD, OR 20 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Consent to personal, employment, clearance, and education verification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding and application of relevant standards, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior personnel within the discipline.
  • Experience in program office, enterprise, staff-level support, C-130 modifications, troubleshooting, field support, and depot support is preferred.
  • Looking for candidates with aircraft avionics and electrical engineering experience.
