About the Role

Riverside Research is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Dayton, OH area. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities electrical control systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Provide professional engineering oversight for all customer facility projects, gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design.
  • PLC Based Hardware and Software: Responsible for oversight of the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
  • Electrical Specifications and Diagrams: Writes electrical specifications and makes electrical diagrams and drawings.
  • System Testing and Troubleshooting: Tests and troubleshoots various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Technical Support and Instruction: Provides technical support and instruction to organization members.
  • Cost Estimation and Compliance: Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects, ensuring code compliance and reviewing proposed layouts.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Work cohesively with other engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations, ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer's goals, objectives, and security requirements.
  • Facilities Management: Manage/support/coordinate programming, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of facilities.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of 4 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • CAD Experience: CAD experience is required.
  • Adaptability and Communication: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to challenging situations as they occur, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cross-Functional Knowledge: Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge, including mechanical systems, is a plus.
  • Project Management: Performs a range of special projects related to Electrical Engineering project management.
