Position Summary

We are looking for a full-time Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Dayton, OH area. This role will emphasize the management of all facets of facilities electrical control systems and equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers supporting critical national defense initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert engineering oversight for facility projects by gathering user requirements and integrating innovative concepts into secure workplace designs. Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in electrical engineering is essential.
  • Oversee the installation and technical support of PLC-based hardware and software systems.
  • Develop electrical specifications and create detailed electrical diagrams and drawings.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to team members.
  • Assess cost estimates and provide financial projections for proposed projects.
  • Evaluate code compliance, review proposed layouts, and perform on-site observations during construction to ensure adherence to plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers to ensure that mechanical and electrical components are integrated into a final product that meets customer expectations and security requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate programming, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of facilities.
  • Additional responsibilities include:
    • Project Management & Scheduling
    • Design Reviews, Specifications, Analysis, Submittals, Shop Drawings, and Documentation
    • Concept Development and Space Planning
    • Interpretation of Codes, Standards, and Regulations

Additional Duties

Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cross-functional engineering disciplines, including mechanical systems, is advantageous.
  • Experience managing special projects related to Electrical Engineering.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive compensation range based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
