Role Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer will leverage their extensive knowledge in Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) engineering principles to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of current and future weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply DoD and AF engineering principles to optimize weapon system performance and sustainability.
- Support airworthiness certification and System Integrity Programs.
- Translate user requirements into comprehensive weapon system specifications.
- Assist in formulating action plans and policies to enhance weapon system capabilities.
- Conduct technical and mission analyses for operational requirements and system concepts.
- Provide rapid response engineering services for critical supportability challenges.
- Engage in system safety engineering program activities and evaluations.
- Contribute to material solution analyses and documentation.
- Participate in product reviews, technical evaluations, and acquisition strategies.
- Assist in the analysis and testing of equipment and software deficiencies.
- Evaluate subcontractor recommendations regarding operational and support issues.
- Participate in program milestone approvals and source selections.
- Support disciplined engineering activities to ensure operational safety and suitability for all products.
- Aid in the development and assessment of engineering cost estimates.
- Facilitate value stream mapping activities and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide support for configuration, data, and risk management processes.
- Utilize electrical engineering expertise in power systems and avionics subsystems.
- Support CNS/ATM requirements, testing, and certification activities.
- Assist in avionics integration engineering and relevant documentation updates.

Minimum Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS/MS degree in an engineering discipline.
- Advanced Degree (MA/MS) with 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD, OR BA/BS degree with 15 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD, OR 20 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding and application of relevant standards, procedures, and practices.
- Experience in leading and mentoring junior personnel within the discipline.
- Background in program office, enterprise, staff-level support, C-130 modifications, troubleshooting, field support, and depot support is preferred.
