Office Assistant 2

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Assistant 2 to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our staff, handling a high volume of calls, and ensuring compliance with our procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Answer calls in a busy call center environment
- Interview callers to gather complete information and identify the purpose of the call
- Communicate with callers clearly and politely to explain the process and next steps
- Redirect calls to the proper subject matter expert queue
- Practice and ensure compliance with OAH procedures
- Escalate issues to supervisor and management when necessary
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in our shared mailbox
- Review and make necessary corrections to information in the Fair Hearing Information System
- Review and accurately route incoming faxes via the Faxinator computer program
- Process incoming correspondence and quote to appropriate OAH staff
- One year of clerical experience
- Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
- Eligible for a 55b/c appointment
This is a full-time, permanent or provisional appointment. Telecommuting up to 50% may be available in accordance with our policy.
