Job Summary:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site-wide environmental, health, and safety audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain records of environmental incidents, including reporting and tracking of spills, releases, and other environmental hazards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives and programs.
  • Provide training and education to employees on environmental health and safety procedures and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure the company remains compliant.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Engineering.
  • Experience in preparing environmental reports, such as Tier II and TRI/Form R reports.
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including air and water permits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FE, CHMM, and/or ASP/CSP certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
