Your Role:

  • Design engineering for renewable energy initiatives and various projects.
  • Oversee construction activities related to renewable energy.
  • Engage in client communications and relationship management.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Manage projects effectively.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary consulting teams.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • 10-15 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A valid Professional Engineering license in New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, and/or Illinois is essential.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects, particularly in solar energy for utility-scale and distributed generation.
  • Proven track record in leading site plan and zoning approval processes for renewable projects at the municipal level.
  • Expertise in managing erosion and sediment control plan approvals through county and state regulatory processes.
  • Strong understanding of surface water quality, stormwater management, hydrology, and applicable regulations.
  • Experience in planning, designing, and maintaining stormwater infrastructure and green infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater management systems.
  • Familiarity with civil and environmental engineering principles, including grading, site layout, and utilities.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, ArcGIS, BlueBeam).
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal water resources regulatory processes.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including corridors, pipe networks, and grading.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project managers.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and experience mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Experience with solar energy project development, construction oversight, and permitting in New York State is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in ground-mounted solar energy design and construction oversight is mandatory.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
  • A clean driving record and valid driver's license are required.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a range of $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
