Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the preparation of regulatory submissions (including parent company and subsidiaries) and investor communications, such as SEC filings including 8-Ks, 10-Qs, and 10-Ks (and related XBRL requirements), proxy statements, statutory financial statements, earnings releases, earnings presentations, earnings call scripts, and investor conference materials.
  • Drafting financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management discussions and analyses while ensuring complete documentation under the Company's SOX controls.
  • Managing share-based compensation entries and reconciliations for month-end close and providing equity-related analysis.
  • Creating monthly litigation accrual journal entries and associated rollforwards.
  • Assisting in the collection of quarterly related party questionnaires.
  • Contributing to the preparation of sections of the GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
  • Conducting ad hoc disclosure benchmarking research of peer companies.
  • Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of the annual and quarterly SEC reporting processes.
  • Proposing and aiding in the implementation of process enhancements to optimize workflows.
  • Establishing effective communication with cross-functional partners.
  • Executing and monitoring Sarbanes-Oxley controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance.
  • Managing multiple tasks and completing assigned projects within established timelines.
About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in public accounting or financial reporting with a publicly traded entity.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including the ability to research accounting literature, establish positions, and develop implementation procedures.
  • Highly motivated and proactive with excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing workstreams and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to collaborate across functions and engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and take ownership of complex areas.
  • Quick learner in a dynamic financial environment.
  • Willingness and commitment to deepen knowledge and expertise.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Active CPA license or actively pursuing licensure.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with Workiva Wdesk, Equity Edge, and Oracle FCCS.
  • Background in a fintech company, high-growth startup, or broker-dealer industry.
Base compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This role is also eligible for participation in a bonus plan and equity plan.
