Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering precise and prompt financial services to the College community, ensuring exceptional support for students, parents, faculty, and staff.

The role encompasses various accounting duties, such as:

  • Conducting monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
  • Preparing and processing entries for the general ledger
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of fixed assets

Utilizing generally accepted accounting principles and practices, the Accountant will manage specialized accounting records and reports. The role involves assembling and analyzing financial data, as well as preparing relevant statements and reports pertaining to assigned responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and manage sensitive matters. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the capability to handle extensive data sets for financial reporting is necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities, are also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in bank reconciliations and cash management is advantageous. Familiarity with fund accounting, particularly within the higher education sector, is preferred. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and/or Synoptix would be beneficial.
