We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant for our production facility.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of our operations by supervising and enhancing cost-related functions.

Your key responsibilities will encompass conducting audits of bills of materials, overseeing inventory management, analyzing financial metrics, preparing budget reports, and delivering strategic insights to facilitate informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in cost accounting within a manufacturing context, financial analysis expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of business operations.


Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth cost analysis across various business dimensions, including production expenses, overhead costs, and inventory assessments.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and propose strategies for efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with diverse teams to establish and track annual budgets.
Assist in the creation of financial forecasts and variance analyses to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Oversee inventory valuation and control, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
Work closely with operations, supply chain, and other relevant departments to collect data and insights for precise cost analysis.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries.
Monitor financial trends and key performance indicators to uncover opportunities.

Qualifications:

You are a strong candidate if you possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to think strategically and provide valuable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with accounting and ERP systems, as well as Power BI. Advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
