KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Core responsibilities include:
- Preparing workpapers and posting journal entries
- Importing working trial balances into the firm's engagement software
- Collaborating with the team to reconcile account discrepancies and analyze financial data
- Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Completing any special assignments or tasks as directed by senior team members or partners
REQUIREMENTS:
Successful candidates will exhibit the following skills and attributes:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Effective time management abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite; advanced Excel skills are a plus
- Experience with CCH Engagement or Lacerte tax software is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
- Problem-solving mindset
- Proactive approach to tasks
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- A bachelor's degree in accounting is required; a master's degree is preferred
- Candidates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam or possess CPA certification
- 2-5 years of prior experience or internships in a public accounting environment focusing on audit or tax work is advantageous
