  • Core responsibilities include:
  • Preparing workpapers and posting journal entries
  • Importing working trial balances into the firm's engagement software

  • Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
  • Completing any special assignments or tasks as directed by senior team members or partners

REQUIREMENTS:

Successful candidates will exhibit the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Effective time management abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite; advanced Excel skills are a plus
  • Experience with CCH Engagement or Lacerte tax software is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive approach to tasks
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting is required; a master's degree is preferred
  • Candidates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam or possess CPA certification
  • 2-5 years of prior experience or internships in a public accounting environment focusing on audit or tax work is advantageous
