SUMMARY:

This position is poised for advancement to a Senior level role with the flexibility of remote work. Under the general oversight of the Applications Manager, this role involves comprehensive analysis and programming to facilitate the selection, implementation, and continuous support of application software. This includes all necessary interfaces to ensure a high-value, widely accessible, and integrated information network that aligns with customer requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a combination of technical training in computer-related fields and progressively responsible experience in information systems management may be considered in lieu of a degree.

A minimum of three years of experience in programming and systems design is essential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with EPIC systems is highly desirable.

Background in Acute Care settings is advantageous.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This role may involve functional supervision of up to three full-time equivalent employees.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaborate with personnel from user departments, Information Services staff, and vendors to identify and resolve application system issues.
- Develop detailed specifications for software applications; design, code, test, debug, document, and implement software programs. Regularly test and update software products with new releases.
- Evaluate new software products to assess their relevance to current and future hardware and software environments.
- Assist in the testing and installation of new software packages and modifications from vendors.
- Aid in designing, programming, testing, and installing interfaces among systems.
- Modify and maintain existing software through maintenance releases and vendor utilities to enhance the system's utility for the organization.
- Contribute to the preparation of manuals, training materials, and user training on system modifications.
- May coordinate straightforward Information Services projects, including project planning, task assignment, and implementation.
- Stay current with technical knowledge by attending seminars and reviewing professional literature.
- Participate in councils, quality improvement teams, and other committees as required.
- Uphold quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards in accordance with established policies and objectives.
