Key Responsibilities

The Chief Nursing Executive plays a pivotal role in shaping the nursing strategy within our healthcare facilities, ensuring that patient care is at the forefront of our mission. The CNE will:

  • Participate in strategic planning to meet institutional goals and objectives.

Service Excellence

The CNE will establish systems and processes that ensure safe and effective patient care. Key tasks include:
  • Overseeing clinical documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Championing Service Excellence among staff and recognizing outstanding contributions.
  • Engaging in decision-making for clinical equipment and technology acquisitions.

Quality Improvement

The CNE will drive initiatives that enhance patient care quality and safety. This includes:
  • Assessing patient needs to identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Building a culture of safety and encouraging staff engagement.
  • Ensuring adherence to current evidence-based practices in nursing policies.

Community Engagement

The CNE will promote growth and community involvement through:
  • Participating in marketing and communication efforts to highlight hospital services.
  • Building partnerships that enhance the hospital's market position.
  • Representing nursing interests in various committees and task forces.

Financial Stewardship

The CNE will ensure financial stability by:
  • Monitoring departmental performance against operational goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A current nursing license in the state of employment.
  • A Master's degree and a minimum of five years of progressive nursing management experience in an acute care environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to healthcare management.
