Clinical Operations Manager

The Clinical Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our ophthalmology practice. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our clinical services, including supervising staff, managing workflow, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor technician staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Workflow Management: Manage the daily clinic workflow to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize wait times for patients.
- Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of our clinical services.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Scheduling: Create and manage schedules for technicians to ensure adequate coverage and minimize overtime.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff.
- Performance Evaluations: Conduct annual performance evaluations to assess staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, HIPAA, and security protocols.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an ophthalmology practice.
- Certifications: COA or COT certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong supervisory skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, flexibility with hours and local travel, proficiency with EMR and practice management system, and ability to work in a team environment or independently.
