Position Title: Senior IT Business Analyst (Epic General Ledger)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Preferred Location: Remote

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Senior IT Business Analyst with a focus on Epic General Ledger. This role is crucial for enhancing our healthcare operations by connecting IT solutions with business needs. As a vital contributor, you will improve departmental workflows and operational efficiency through expert application configuration support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management: Oversee significant enterprise applications and provide necessary support for additional systems.
  • Workflow Optimization: Spearhead the design and enhancement of business workflows in partnership with various departments. Mentor Application Analysts in improving efficiencies and resolving complex workflow issues.
  • Software Deployment & Assistance: Manage needs assessments, software design, implementation, support, and reporting. Ensure effective unit and integrated testing to fulfill design goals.
  • Testing & Issue Resolution: Identify intricate testing scenarios, create test scripts, and validate outcomes. Independently troubleshoot application and system hardware challenges.
  • Process Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of departmental business processes and take ownership of specific functionalities, including configuration, testing, and communication.
  • User Collaboration: Collaborate with end-users to comprehend their workflows and business operations. Oversee system security, disaster recovery, and backup protocols.
  • Project Management: Act as the project lead in coordination with the PMO, managing all phases from scoping and design to implementation and transition.
  • Reporting & Training Development: Create and maintain custom reports using industry-standard tools. Review and endorse end-user training materials and engage in training initiatives.
  • Documentation & Policy Formulation: Uphold high documentation standards, develop policies and procedures with business units and IT management, and manage application upgrades and support activities.
  • Interface Management: Provide support and troubleshoot inbound/outbound interfaces as required. Collaborate with other application and clinical analysts.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in constructing Hospital Billing and Professional Billing general ledgers in Epic, with familiarity in collaborating with Accounting and Finance teams.
  • Proficient in business applications such as Patient Scheduling systems, Hospital or Physician Revenue Cycle systems, and Enterprise Scanning and workflow management.
  • Strong understanding of SQL-based applications and experience with server management and software upgrades.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup processes, HL7 Interfaces, and networking (LAN, DNS).

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ITIL standards.
  • Experience in redesigning business workflows.
