Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for implementing and managing cost control measures for gas construction initiatives. This role involves coordinating financial reporting and conducting scenario analyses. Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and reviewing project estimates, timelines, and capital budgets.
  • Analyzing monthly financial reports to monitor project costs and progress.
  • Providing regular updates and status reports to management.
  • Supporting contract negotiations and collaborating with contractors and internal teams on cost control issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with cost and planning control policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capital Spend Management:
    - Consolidate capital expenditure forecasting and budgeting.
    - Compile, review, and present monthly forecasting schedules.
    - Manage Out of Cycle (OOC) capital requests.
    - Lead monthly capital review meetings ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Economic Model Review:
    - Collaborate with business partners to assess actuals, variance explanations, and forecast updates.
    - Maintain up-to-date month-to-date spending reports with business units.
    - Conduct recurring financial reporting.
  • Ad Hoc Activities:
    - Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in SAP and Excel, particularly in creating and reviewing monthly forecasting schedules.
  • Experience managing capital budgets and forecasting across multiple business units.
  • Ability to handle Out of Cycle (OOC) capital requests effectively.
  • Experience leading monthly capital review meetings with a focus on SOX compliance.

Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on transparency and teamwork.
- Ability to lead and facilitate meetings effectively.

Preferred Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years in a related financial analysis role, preferably within the power or utilities sector.

Interview Process:
- In-person interviews will be scheduled during standard business hours.
