Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Senior IT Business Analyst with a focus on Epic General Ledger. This role is essential for enhancing our healthcare operations by effectively connecting IT solutions with business needs. As a pivotal contributor, you will work to improve departmental productivity and processes through expert application configuration support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management: Oversee major enterprise applications and provide necessary support for additional systems.
  • Workflow Optimization: Spearhead the design and enhancement of business workflows in collaboration with various departments. Mentor Application Analysts in improving efficiencies and tackling complex workflow issues.
  • Software Deployment & Support: Manage needs assessments, software design, implementation, support, and reporting. Ensure successful unit and integrated testing aligns with design specifications.
  • Testing & Issue Resolution: Identify intricate testing scenarios, create test scripts, and validate outcomes. Independently troubleshoot application and system hardware challenges.
  • Process Management: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of departmental business processes and oversee specific functionalities, including configuration, testing, and communication.
  • User Collaboration: Collaborate with end-users to comprehend their workflows and business processes. Manage system security, disaster recovery, and backup protocols.
  • Project Management: Serve as the project lead in partnership with the PMO, overseeing all phases from scoping and design to implementation and transition.
  • Reporting & Training Development: Generate and maintain custom reports utilizing industry-standard tools such as Crystal Reports. Review and endorse end-user training materials and engage in training initiatives.
  • Documentation & Policy Creation: Uphold high documentation standards, develop policies and procedures in conjunction with business units and IT management, and manage application upgrades and support activities.
  • Interface Management: Provide support and troubleshoot inbound/outbound interfaces as required. Collaborate with other application and clinical analysts.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in application support within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in developing Hospital Billing and Professional Billing general ledgers in Epic, with a background in collaboration with Accounting and Finance teams.
  • Proficiency in business applications such as Patient Scheduling systems, Hospital or Physician Revenue Cycle systems, and Enterprise Scanning and workflow management.
  • Strong understanding of SQL-based applications and experience with server management and software upgrades.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup procedures, HL7 Interfaces, and networking (LAN, DNS).

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ITIL standards.
  • Experience in redesigning business workflows.
