Position Overview: We are seeking an EBI Analyst I to support our team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will serve as a key resource for department leaders and administrative staff, assisting in the creation and enhancement of business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary resource for department leaders and hospital administration in the development of business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with EBI Developers to determine data sourcing and implement business rules for dashboards and other BI tools.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level analysts.
  • Utilize advanced computer skills to maintain a comprehensive reporting system that delivers timely and accurate information for online dashboards.
  • Analyze and evaluate clinical and operational data to support utilization management and performance metrics.
  • Assist in the design and generation of detailed reports for various platforms across the organization.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data in reports, making necessary adjustments and improvements.
  • Document methodologies and interpretations of data analysis for future reference.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • High School diploma/GED with four years of relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Associate's degree with two years of relevant experience may also substitute for educational requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL, Teradata, SAS, or Tableau is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to make informed decisions with minimal supervision.

Work Environment: This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and perform tasks in a stationary position for extended periods. Some travel within the organization may be necessary.

Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is between $22.85 and $34.85, depending on experience and qualifications. This range does not include the comprehensive benefits package offered by Cleveland Clinic, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
