Key Responsibilities

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will focus on proactive sales initiatives, lead generation, and the acquisition of new third-party hotel management agreements. This role will primarily target existing hotel owners and prospective developers, utilizing action-oriented selling, thorough research, and networking with hotel brokers and national hotel brands.

Success in this position will be measured by achieving lead generation targets and growth objectives while establishing sustainable revenue streams. The ideal candidate will bring high energy, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit to DKN Hotel Group.

Essential Functions

• Generate leads and develop new third-party hotel management contracts to increase the portfolio of DKN Hotel Group.

• Cultivate strong strategic partnerships that align with DKN's culture and values.

• Solicit and secure management contracts from individual owners and institutions.

• Develop and implement comprehensive business and action plans.

• Collaborate with PR initiatives and strategic partnerships to enhance DKN Hotel Group's visibility as a premier hotel management entity.

• Build and nurture trusted relationships with hotel owners, franchisors, investors, and real estate brokers.

• Assist in preparing pro-forma spreadsheets and business plans.

• Gain the confidence and trust of potential clients, tailoring approaches to meet their needs and secure long-term contracts.

• Close business deals by presenting compelling value propositions and ensuring alignment with DKN's culture and values.

• Attend industry events, conferences, and key meetings to foster relationships and generate new business opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to promote and expand DKN's partnerships and customer base.

• Develop actionable plans that align with financial objectives.

• Create innovative deliverables and closing tools to enhance productivity.

• Acquire knowledge about relevant communities to be considered for potential hotel deals and real estate opportunities.

• Exhibit resourcefulness and creativity in sourcing new opportunities.

• Analyze business growth opportunities from existing clients and competitors for targeted outreach.

• Ensure timely correspondence that professionally represents the DKN brand.

• Exercise sound judgment in evaluating risks and rewards of new business opportunities while understanding operational impacts.

• Demonstrate exceptional communication and negotiation skills, utilizing strong interpersonal abilities.

• Embody and promote the DKN Hotel Group culture, vision, and values.

• Develop quarterly action plans approved by executive leadership that align with financial, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction goals.

• Manage travel and budget considerations effectively.

• Balance workload efficiently while maintaining accountability and ownership.

• Strive for excellence in all responsibilities.

• Foster innovation and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in hospitality sales and marketing, preferably in a hotel brokerage context.
  • Understanding of agency structures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive outlook.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Publisher, and Photoshop.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Critical thinking with the ability to articulate a persuasive point of view to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborative skills and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Preferred knowledge and network within the hospitality/hotel brokerage industry.
