Position Overview:
As a vital member of the senior management team, the Senior Vice President of Global Operations will lead operational and manufacturing functions on a worldwide scale. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely customer deliveries, effective supply chain management, purchasing and inventory oversight, product quality assurance, and the formulation of a comprehensive manufacturing strategy that aligns with the corporation's global objectives.
The EVP of Operations will collaborate closely with Functional Unit leaders to meet their operational targets and will partner with the finance department to secure profitability across all operations while fostering motivation and development within the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full accountability for policies, processes, and structures globally, ensuring alignment with Functional Unit goals.
- Chair the legal aspects of Nikkiso CE&IG International Product Companies as designated by the CEO.
- Collaborate with Functional Unit Presidents and General Managers to develop strategic business operations and planning.
- In conjunction with the finance team, oversee the achievement of annual budgets and forecasts for order intake and expenses.
- Ensure the organization meets its Profit and Loss targets and maintains healthy profit margins through effective utilization and absorption strategies.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and partners, maximizing customer value and satisfaction.
- Guarantee product and service quality, striving for triple ISO certification and sustainable execution.
- Engage in regional strategic business development initiatives.
- Play a key role in expansion and consolidation activities, including investments, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate alliances.
- Promote a unified company culture and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Lead, motivate, and develop employees while enhancing engagement and company culture.
- Collaborate with the EVP of HR on talent management and succession planning.
- Continuously improve internal processes across all production units globally.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, quality initiatives, and the sharing of best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, management, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in complex manufacturing environments, with strong operational skills across multiple facilities globally. Experience in cryogenic equipment is advantageous.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a history of driving operational excellence through effective cost management, systems development, and process improvements. A deep understanding of matrixed organizations, financial acumen, and the ability to lead and develop top talent are essential.
Proficiency in strategic planning, data analysis, and project management, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are critical for success in this role. Frequent international travel is a requirement.
