Job Overview

Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our manufacturing facility. This role involves managing both direct and indirect reports while adhering to the organization's policies and legal requirements. Key responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, and training staff; organizing, delegating, and supervising tasks; evaluating employee performance; and addressing workplace issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Articulates the strategic vision of Trulite to the management team.
  • Oversees branch operations encompassing production, sales, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics.
  • Holds P&L accountability for the branch, ensuring financial objectives are achieved.
  • Implements effective control systems for capital and operational expenditures, workforce management, and labor efficiency.
  • Monitors plant performance against production and quality benchmarks through the leadership team.
  • Minimizes labor overtime, premium freight, and repair costs.
  • Ensures the maintenance and improvement of plant facilities and equipment.
  • Provides leadership and training to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Guides the development of plant managers, sales managers, and other leadership roles.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and reduces workplace injuries.
  • Maintains regular communication with senior management and support functions.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, along with 10 years of general management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and decision-making based on financial data. Experience with manufacturing methodologies and process improvement, including Lean practices, is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse workforce to achieve financial and cultural goals.
  • Exceptional follow-through and communication skills, with the capacity to prioritize and manage various assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and employee development capabilities.
  • Experience with plant recovery and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish & English) are advantageous.
