We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to join our team at TAT Technologies Ltd. As an OEM Supervisor, you will play a critical role in leading our manufacturing operations team to achieve business results, primarily focused on working with department leadership and employees to achieve production and quality goals while maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to the plant production team members in areas of safety, machine operation, sanitation, quality, customer service, and maintenance.
- Production Planning: Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality standards are maintained and continually improved upon.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement processes that increase productivity and reduce production costs.
- Preventative Maintenance: Ensure the preventative maintenance program is implemented throughout the facility, including manufacturing equipment and warehouse equipment.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the plant with a high standard on housekeeping.
- Decision-Making: Use critical thinking skills to weigh options and predict the best possible outcomes.
- Problem-Solving: Use creative strategies to solve issues and be flexible in unexpected circumstances.
- Team Support: Support your team during challenging situations, and encourage them to work toward their goals.
- Performance Management: Check in periodically and make sure workers are meeting their individual goals and hitting set benchmarks.
- Experience: 5 years of progressive management/supervisor/lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Technical Skills: Ability to work with various manufacturing and office-based technology systems, including ERP and Microsoft programs.
- Education: High school diploma/GED is required.
- Preferred Skills: Knowledge of AS9100 regulatory requirements, FAA Repair Station requirements, and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Standing and Sitting: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Walking: Ability to move about inside the building to access assets, manufacturing shop floor, office machinery, etc.
- Using Hands/Fingers: Constantly operates office and manufacturing machinery.
- Climbing and Balancing: Ascends/descends ladders to access inventory and other assets in warehouse.
- Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, or Crawling: Routinely need to perform these functions as required.
- Talking and Hearing: Frequently communicates with coworkers, customers, and vendors who have inquiries about work orders, inventory levels, asset orders, and deliveries.
- Seeing: Must be able to perceive, identify, and inspect documents and inventory assets.
- Carrying Weight/Lifting: Frequently moves inventory and completed assets weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Climate-Controlled Environment: Climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to Hazards: While performing the duties of this job, you are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, oil, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals (Appropriate PPE is provided).
- Noise Level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
