Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight:
  • Generate and present monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow analyses.
  • Perform variance analysis on critical performance metrics to aid strategic choices.
  • Budget Management:
  • Create annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, delivering insights through sales and margin evaluations.
  • Lead weekly cash flow forecasting and various periodic reports to optimize business performance.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
  • Serve as the main liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring precise and timely information.
  • Oversee tax return preparations and address tax-related inquiries for designated locations.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Guide and develop team members, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Strategic Financial Support:
  • Coordinate capital expenditure requests and monitor approved initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on accounting matters, establishing consistent policies and procedures throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing context; experience in the aerospace sector is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of proficiency in cost accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, mentoring direct reports.

Essential Skills

  • Financial Acumen: Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP as it pertains to manufacturing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in full-cycle budgeting, tax compliance, and auditing processes.
  • Advanced Software Skills: Expertise in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Infor Visual).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Integrity and Confidentiality: Maintain the highest standards in safeguarding company information.
  • Adaptability: Efficiently manage tasks, responding promptly to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
